Maybe it is something about growing up by the sea but I have a thing for all shades of blue.

I love to sit on a beach, listen to the waves as they break and watch that point in the horizon where the sea and the sky meet. It is as if my mind, clears and my focus, sharpens…

Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body. As a colour it is seen as trustworthy, dependable and committed. It slows human metabolism and produces a calming effect. Blue is strongly associated with tranquillity.  

What better colour therefore for a bathroom…

This for me is really great design. I love that they have used a high gloss tile to give that feeling of water and then pared it with a matt paint. However the real genius for me is the simple addition of a coloured blue film on the window so all the natural light bathes the space in a beautiful turquoise to create an amazing feeling of being underwater…

Tropical Underwater View

When I saw this space my mind was immediately transported to the calm, serene feeling I got when I snorkelled off the Great Barrier Reef. The colours are of the vibrant tropical waters.
