Growing up in Ireland I used to dream of a white Christmas. I wanted Santa to really be dashing through the snow in his convertible sleigh. Now all I want is a green Christmas.
So how can you get the essential Christmas vibe without it costing the earth?
Simple, think outside the square.
First you need a tree…
Melbourne Artisan (Furniture Designer, Landscaper, Stone Mason, Creater of Beauty), Greg “Twiggie” Hatton creates the most beautiful furniture. He is not afraid to show Mother Nature’s raw beauty that exists in the world around us.
Some cool decorations…
Some mood lighting…
Queen B Candles are handmade with 100% Australian beewax. Unlike most candles on the market they don’t polute the air with chemicals, they burn slower and support the local Australian bees (and their keepers). They are natural ionisers when they burn so will purify the air and elimiate germs and viruses. They have the most devine smell of a natural light honey.
Gifts for your nearest and dearest…
Christmas shopping is meant to be stressful. Not any more… first stop Biome then onto Bluecaravan. Biome is so much more than just an eco friendly store. It is a place to learn and somewhere to start making a difference. Bluecaravan is home to all things independently designed and ethically made.
And thats a wrap…
Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that is used to wrap clothes, gifts and other goods. It is a little like cloth oragami! It originated in the Edo period as a sort of “sports bag”. People would use the furoshiki to wrap their clothes while at the public baths. It lost favor after the war with the entrace of the dreaded plastic bag. Thankfully, the old ways are coming back.
