Tree Tent by Luminair

It appears everyone I know is going camping this Easter holiday.
I love the idea of heading off into the great outdoors in search of adventure.
It’s just the promise of nonstop rain that has slightly dampened my enthusiasm.

However, if it was on a trip into the forest to a Tree Tent by Luminair I could be swayed!
What a rare treat to wake up high in a thick green forest canopy…

Sleep with the fishes…

Doing the same old thing every day does nothing for a creative mind. How can you hope to see the world differently if your senses are dulled by the drudgery of a never ending routine? Sometimes you have to step away from your normal Mon to Fri 9-5 and do something completely different…

Which is why I found myself lying on a beach looking up at the sky. There is something very hypnotic about the waves as they wash up onto the beach over and over again…

I’m not sure how long I fell asleep for but it was an amazing feeling to wake up to the sight of clouds moving overhead and the sound of the ocean in my ears…

What could be a better thing to wake up to? Continue reading

The perfect way to enjoy a night under the stars – The Cristal Bubble from Bubble Tree

A night under the stars is such a romantic notion.
Until the first mosquito swoops in.

Thankfully Pierre Stephane Dumas from the imaginatively entitled Bubble Tree was thinking the same thing when he created the Cristal Bubble. Continue reading

Will 2012 be the year of the artisan & craftsman?

As the rain continues to fall I can’t help but think of floods that swept through Queensland at the start of this year. I was lucky that my home wasn’t damaged but I got to see firsthand the damage it did in my local area. I have clients who are only now getting back into their homes.

Is this rain making them feel a bit nervous? Yes of course but as one client said it forces you to really evaluate what is important in your life and what you want for your future. Continue reading

Eva Solo Table Grill

Tomorrow is the first day of summer…

And the first day of December…

I still haven’t quite got used to the fact that I won’t be battling the cold from under a huge overcoat, crunching through the winter snow.

For me, one of the great joys of a Summer Christmas in Australia is fresh seafood on the BBQ as close to the beach as possible. The salt air is invigorating and somehow manages to make everything taste just that little bit better.

I have been on the hunt for a Grill or BBQ that is both portable and stylish to make that sunset tapas feast of fresh prawns that little bit more wonderful…
